Attawapiskat River Adventures: The Beteau lake camp is located in a vast tract of roadless wilderness only accessable by air. This is virgin hunting territory with an abundance of trophy class animals. In fact moose populations are so high that we receive more adult moose tags than many other outfitters in other parts of Ontario. Not only is there a high population of moose, the moose get big. It's not uncommon for moose to reach 1300 pounds in our area with antler spreads exceeding 55" with some true giants over 60". Our camp also has large numbers of black bears commonly approaching 400lbs with occasional bruin in the 500-600lb range. We only allow 3 bears to be harvested in order to ensure the current vibrant levels. The region also teems with the rare and ellusive woodland caribou. Although these majestic animals cannot be hunted their presence along with the other large ungulates, the moose, provides for a large and healthy population of timber wolves. Wolves offer an exciting challenge for the sportsman and can often be combined with a moose hunt. Spruce grouse are also incredibly abundant in our area. In addition to the fantastic trophy fishing, the grouse provide an interesting alternative once your big game has ended successfully. www.eddienorth.com

Lower Twin Lakes Lodge is a drive-to camp and located 6 miles from Nakina, Ontario. Stands are baited for 6 weeks before the hunt to ensure our bear hunting guests keep enjoying the 90%+ success rate that our BMA has provided. Our BMA is in WMU 19. Nakina is famous for Moose hunting and the bears have basically been ignored. There are only a couple of outfitters in the Nakina area offering Black Bear hunts so the population of bears is extremely high and there are lots of big old males hanging around out bait stands. The hunt starts August 15th. This is a 7-day housekeeping Bear hunt. Accommodations are in their clean and comfortable lakeside cottages. Excellent fishing for Walleye and Northern Pike is also available. www.lowertwinlakes.com
