French River Black Bear Hunting

Trout Lake Outfitters is Ontario’s premier Black Bear hunting outfitter. They are located only 3 hours north of Toronto or 30 minutes south of Sudbury in the French River area. This region is bursting with an over population of Black Bears and as a result Trout Lake Outfitters has been given a BMA (Bear Management Area) of over 300 square miles and they maintain over 50 active bait stands. This is why their guests enjoy an 85% harvest rate and a 100% sighting rate. Black Bears are common in the 200 to 350 pound range. Guests commonly get bigger bears with the biggest in recent years being 604 pounds. Rifle, Bow, Crossbow and Black Powder hunters are all welcome. Their lodge has the capacity to house up to 12 hunters per week. Bedrooms are bunk style. They have a full kitchen, two bathrooms, shower, sauna, hot tub, a large living room and many other amenities.
